This edition is in paper wraps.  The publisher is T. B. Peterson & Brothers Philadelphia.  The  published date is 1864.  There are 184 pages as well as 22 pages of advertising for other books by the publisher.  The covering of the spine is missing from about 3" at the top and 1" at the bottom.  There is some dog earring to pages in the lower right corner and some foxing to some of the pages.  The binding is still good and the book is still very readable.

This book is from the Broadway Travelers.  It is edited by Sir E. Denison Ross and Eileen Power.   It is transcribed from the original manuscript and edited with an introduction by G. E. Manwaring.  The publisher is George Routledge & Sons LTD Broadway House, Charter Lane London.  The back of the title page reads First published in this series, 1927.  The book is illustrated.  It is in good condition with a little fading to the  edge of the front cover and fading to the spine.  There is very light scattered foxing.

Hooker of Philadelphia.  The edition contains both volumes I & II .    Volume I contains 284 pages.  Vol II contains 283 pages.  The binding is loose.  There is significant loss to the spine.  The covers are very faded.    The height of the book is 7 3/4"

This book was written by Hinton Rowan Helper.  The publisher is Burdick Brothers of New York.  This edition is dated 1857.  I believe it may be a first edition of the book.  There are 420 pages.  The bock has a brown cloth cover.  A section of the spine is missing.  the back several pages are rather heavily foxed.   The book measures 7 3/4" tall.

This is a book written by John W.. DeForest.  This copy was published 1871 by J. Munsell of Albany.  There is a fold out map in good condition in the front of the book.  The book contains 509 pages.  It is illustrated.  This edition has a reddish brown cloth cover.  There is a little fading to the spine.   The book measures 8 1/4" tall.

This book was edited by Elizur Wright.  It was published in  1850 by Phillips, Sampson, and Company of Boston.   This is volume No.1 titled Universal Suffrage.  Capital Punishment. - Slavery.   It is in tan paper wraps.  there are 48 pages.  The book is in very good condition with some foxing and light wear present.

MISCELLANEOUS WRITINGS ON SLAVERY

A rare book written by an early abolishionist William Jay.  It is titled Miscellaneous Writings on Savery.  It was published in 1853 by John P. Jenette & Co. Boston, Massachusetts.  This looks to be an early copy from the 1850's very possibly 1853.  It is lacking some of the front pages including the title page.  The  front cover and a portion of the spine covering are missing.  Inshort this is a rough copy.  The first page present begins with the words Part I American Colonization Society.  All of the pages are present from that point on.  It is interesting reading.

HARPER'S SCHOOL GEOGRAPHY

This is a large old geography book that was used  as a text book.  The full titled is Harper's School Geography with Maps and Illustrations prepared for  expressly for this bwork by Eminent American Artists.  It is copyright 1878. and published by Harper & Brothers.  There is wear and trar to the cover and spine and some soiling and ripped pages but it is still a good solid book and an interesting history of history!  The book measures aaprox. 12 1/4" X 10 1/4".
